We are excited to share that, in collaboration with the Minnesota Department of Health, Fridley Public Schools is hosting a first dose vaccine clinic for students, ages 12-15 years old. This clinic will be held on May 20, 2021 at Fridley High School - the same day that we are hosting the second dose vaccine clinic for 16+ year old students who received their first dose on April 29, 2021. This opportunity is available to all age-eligible students who wish to receive the vaccine.
Parents/Guardians of our secondary school students received a Messenger email this evening with additional information and the link to register. If you did not receive this email, please contact your child's school.

Congratulations to Fridley Public Schools May Employee of the Month, Laura Dmohoski! Dmohoski has served as the Stevenson Health Aid since March 2020. In addition, her colleagues say that she is a valuable and contributing member of the Stevenson school community. A staff member noted, "Laura collaborates well and is a good team player. She recently brought in an antique sewing machine to showcase historical inventions for our first graders!"
Mathison praised Dmohoski for her work and dedication. "We are thrilled Laura is part of our Stevenson staff and we are grateful for all of her contributions," she said. "No matter what, we can always count on Laura for her help." Congratulations, Laura, and keep up the good work! Fridley Preschool students engage in Community Conservation activity, learn from IB PYP unit "Sharing the Planet" Our Fridley International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) Preschool students engaged in an Earth Day Community Conservation activity. Equipped with gloves and trash bags, the preschool students helped to pick up trash around the Fridley Community Center and learned about the many ways they can protect the Earth and environment around them. Our Preschoolers are currently learning lessons in the IB PYP unit "Sharing the Planet."
"Our young scholars are learning about the many ways that we can help care for the Earth," said Preschool teacher Jaime Finch. "They did a fantastic job and had fun participating, and many of them were ready to 'take action' at home and continue this project in their own yards and neighborhoods!" Great work, Fridley Preschoolers!
Fridley Key Club participates in Highway Clean Up Great work to the Fridley High School Key Club members who helped to organize and participate in a highway clean up on Highway 47.
