From the sidelines to the classroom, Leamon Wehyee has made her mark at Fridley High School through passion, hard work, and a bright vision for her future. “After high school I want to become a pediatrician nurse, and continue my hobby of dancing and becoming a choreographer for majorette,” shared Leamon.
One of Leamon’s favorite parts of high school was joining the cheer team. “My favorite part of high school was becoming a cheerleader and performing during pep fests!”
Leamon is especially proud of her academic and career-focused achievements. “My most proud moment in Fridley High School was becoming CNA certified and taking my first college-level class,” she shared
She credits her cheer coaches for helping her grow both personally and academically. “My cheer coaches inspired me to get out of bad habits and follow my own path into greatness. Which I did, and I will be graduating with both semesters of all A’s and B’s!!”
When it comes to advice for incoming freshmen, Leamon shares: “Your friends do influence you. Surround yourself with people that you know will push you to become your best possible self spiritually, emotionally, and physically.”
And as she prepares to graduate, Leamon will miss cheering at games. “Cheering at football and basketball gave me an opportunity to uplift my classmates and have fun while doing it.”
With confidence, compassion, and a powerful voice, Leamon leaves Fridley High School ready to uplift others – wherever her path takes her.
