What is the Athena Award?
The Athena Award recognizes one senior girl from each participating school who has demonstrated outstanding individual athletic achievement or excellence in one or more sports.

Why We Celebrate It
We honor these young women for their dedication, leadership, and impact on their teams and communities. Their achievements inspire others and set the stage for future success.

How We Recognize Them
Each year, the Athena Award Committee hosts a special luncheon to celebrate the recipients and their accomplishments. This year’s event will take place on May 2, 2025, at the Heritage Center of Brooklyn Center.

Congratulations to Aubrey Cochran-Starr who is Fridley High School's Athena Award Winner this year. Aubrey has 14 Varsity Letters, 7 Conference Awards and scored 1000 Varsity Basketball Points.
