May is carnival season at both Hayes and Stevenson Elementary Schools.
The Hayes carnival, held on May 9, hosted an eventful evening celebrating families, students and staff. The event was held both inside and outside in order to host a variety of activities and games, entertainment and food trucks. Jack the Giraffe, Free-Da the clown and a viking were there to pose for pictures and a basket raffle helped to raise money for the school and scholars. The much loved Pie Yah game was back again, allowing students to throw plates of whipped cream at their teachers’ faces. The smiling faces and joyful atmosphere made this year’s carnival a huge success.

The Stevenson carnival, held on May 17, was packed with families everywhere! There were a variety of games and activities that students and families enjoyed, as well as food trucks, face painting and cotton candy. The dunk tank was a huge success as students enjoyed trying to dunk their teachers and staff members. Additionally, a silent auction and basket raffle helped to raise funds for the school. It was a fun evening that was enjoyed by all!
