Fridley Public Schools is proud to recognize Steve Holt, IB History Teacher at Fridley High School and Fridley Youth in Government (YIG) Advisor, as our latest Employee of Excellence! Nominated by Class of 2025 student Cecilia Fellner, Mr. Holt’s impact on students is profound.

Cecilia and fellow student Yahira Barreto-Paredes shared: "Mr. Holt has dedicated his passion and love to Fridley YIG. He works tirelessly, sometimes unnoticed, to support our delegation. Through his efforts, he has empowered many YIG leaders, giving us the courage and skills to create a lasting impact in our community. Fridley YIG has become a second home to many students, and that home started with Mr. Holt. We are forever grateful for his encouragement and mentorship.”
