Congratulations to Fridley High School (FHS) juniors Greta McCoy and Andrew Stevenson who earned the Harvard Prize Book Award and Yale Book Award, respectively. These prestigious awards honor high-ranking members of the FHS junior class, and recognizes achievement in academics and involvement in school community.

Fridley High School junior Greta McCoy was the 2021 Harvard Prize Book recipient, awarded by the Harvard Club of Minnesota.

The award is given to an outstanding member of the junior class who demonstrates excellence in scholarship, as well as high achievement in other areas such as community service and involvement in the school community. McCoy is a full International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) candidate, and maintains high involvement in extracurricular activities, including Key Club, Student Council, Minnesota Honor Society, Link Crew, Band, Pit Orchestra, Dance team, and Cross Country.

Fridley High School junior Andrew Stevenson was the 2021 recipient of the Yale Book Award, given through the Yale Alumni Association of the Northwest. The award recognizes juniors for outstanding character and intellectual promise. Stevenson is a full International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) candidate, and participates in many activities including Minnesota Honor Society, Key Club, Link Crew, Become Worth Following, Cross Country, Tennis, Concert and Jazz Band, Theatre, and Choir.
