Fridley Public Schools

Fridley Public Schools is pleased to welcome Craig Wieber as its new director of finance and operations. Wieber brings an extensive background in public education financial planning and analysis, budgetary development and knowledge of financial markets.

“We are thrilled to have Craig join us as our new director of finance and operations,” said Superintendent Dr. Kim Hiel. “His leadership will complement our already strong finance, buildings and grounds, enrollment and transportation departments. Craig’s prior work experiences will be a great asset to the district.”

“I chose to come to Fridley to use the skills and experience I've acquired in finance and budgeting after eight years of advising school districts,” said Wieber. “We will be able to leverage our team’s knowledge and experience to help Fridley maximize any and all available funding and resources.”

Wieber previously served at Baker Tilly Municipal Advisors, where he provided debt issuance, debt management and budgetary analysis services for public and higher education clients in the Midwest. Prior to Baker Tilly, he was a chief fiscal analyst at the Association of Residential Resources of Minnesota and an executive budget officer at the Minnesota Management and Budget Office.

Wieber received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and his Master of Public Affairs from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
