Fridley Public Schools

Board members from the Friends of Fridley Education Foundation hosted a breakfast banquet for senior FHS students who won foundation scholarships on Monday, May 22. It was an opportunity to celebrate these student scholars, as well as meet the board members who serve on the foundation.

The Friends of Fridley Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization established in 2013 to provide scholarships to Fridley High School students. Altogether, 69 scholarships totaling more than $192,500 have been awarded to students attending both colleges/universities and vocational schools since 2013.

This year, 14 students were each awarded a $3,000 scholarship. The students are: Mirkeni Ahmed, Serina Wood, Sara Khatib, Ajna Oshafi, Tenzin Sherpa, Nathan Thorp, Diana Johnson, Dolapo Ayodele, Alen Kahrimanovic, Emann-Epai Parker, Diplai Yang, Fatema Kathem, Balram Seriram and Gavin Gerhard.
