Congratulations to September Employee of the Month Sheila Jensen, who is a special education paraeducator in the early childhood program at Fridley Community Center. Jensen started working for Fridley Public Schools in 2009 and has been a constant mentor to her colleagues.

“Her expertise supports our scholars in her role as a paraeducator both during the school year and our summer child-care program,” said Kelly McConville, principal of alternative services and PYP Preschool. 

A colleague noted how much she cares for the students she works with and always gives a helping hand to the other staff.

“Sheila has a calm presence in the classroom while working with our scholars. Her patience, and calm demeanor are an asset to multiple programs she supports at the FCC,” said McConville.
