As a way to continue to provide meaningful learning opportunities for our students, two summer learning opportunities are available to Fridley middle school students.
The Summer RISE program is a new opportunity for students who will be entering grades 5-9 in the 2024-2025 school year. In the summer RISE program, students will participate in activities focused on improving language arts, reading and math skills. Here are the details:
-
The program begins on Monday, June 24, and runs through Thursday, July 25 (no programming on Thursday, July 4)
-
Program hours are 8 a.m to noon with lunch served from noon-12:30 p.m.; both breakfast and lunch will be provided
-
The program will meet at Fridley Middle School and there is no fee to participate
-
Transportation will be provided to those students who qualify to receive transportation during the school year
Along with the RISE Program, students can also participate in the afternoon session of Enrichment activities, including games and STEM projects. The Enrichment program is a great way for incoming 5th graders to get ready for middle school and for incoming 9th graders to feel confident about starting high school. Here are the details:

-
Program hours are 12:30-3 p.m with lunch served from noon-12:30 p.m.

Students who will be in Grades 5 thru 9 in the 2024 -2025 school year may register for either or both RISE and the Enrichment program. Students can choose to attend the morning Summer RISE portion, afternoon ENRICHMENT portion or stay for both programs. Transportation is available to students for summer programming as long as you qualify for transportation during the regular school year.
