Fridley Public Schools

Twenty talented acts took to the stage on Wednesday, August 10 for the second annual Tiger Club Talent Show at the Fridley Community Center. Madelyn Douglas, school age care program manager, initiated the talent show in 2021 to engage families in an COVID-19-friendly, end-of-summer event. Tiger Club had to minimize its usual summer programming in 2021, including its annual family carnival due to COVID-19.

Douglas informed the audience how much the students have been practicing for the show and how excited they were to share their talents. Talent show acts ranged from singing, dancing and gymnastics to jump roping, beat making and joke telling, which was a new talent this year. The audience supported the acts by cheering, clapping along and even volunteering when needed. Hosts Douglas and Assistant Program Manager Tiffani Little were enthusiastic and supportive, even telling a few jokes to the audience while waiting for a performer to take the stage.
