The 10th annual Back-to-Resource Fair is on Saturday, August 26 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Fridley High School parking lot. Fridley Public School families, who registered for the event this summer, will be able to walk through a variety of stations and pick up backpacks, school supplies and more during this fun community event. Over the past nine years, more than 5,000 backpacks have been given to Fridley students.
This year’s event will highlight the double digit milestone with a celebration. “I want to celebrate, because it’s not just about the services that we provide,” said Fridley Middle School’s Family Outreach Liaison Aloda Sims, who started the event in 2014. “It's about celebrating the people that are in our school community.”
