Fridley High School Key Club Earns Top Honors at District Awards

Fridley High School’s Key Club members were recently recognized at the district level for their outstanding service, leadership, and commitment to making a difference in their community. The club earned numerous group and individual awards, highlighting a year of impactful projects and dedicated teamwork.

Among the group honors, Fridley Key Club received first place awards for Digital & Non-Digital Posters, Club Marketing Video, and the Major Emphasis Award, which recognizes the club’s overall contributions to the community and its commitment to service. The club also earned second place for its Digital Scrapbook, along with the Distinguished Club Award.

In addition, Fridley Key Club was honored with the Signature Service Award, which celebrates a club that has developed and carried out an exceptional service project. This award recognizes creativity, leadership, and a strong commitment to making a meaningful and lasting impact. Through thoughtful planning, collaboration, and dedication, Fridley students demonstrated the true spirit of service.

Several students were also recognized individually for their leadership and contributions. Duaa Abdelaal received the Tom P. Horan Distinguished Member Award, which honors a member who goes above and beyond in their service and involvement. Prit Rana was awarded the Sandy Nininger Award, recognizing innovation, initiative, and a deep commitment to community improvement. Prit also earned the Distinguished President Award.

Additional leadership honors included Michelle Ortiz Riera as Distinguished Secretary, Nari Ivey as Distinguished Treasurer, and Leah Ivey as Distinguished Vice President.

These recognitions reflect the hard work, passion, and leadership of Fridley Key Club members. Their efforts continue to make a positive impact both within the school and throughout the community.
