Welcome to the Fridley Public Schools Nutritional Services website!

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) recently extended a waiver that allows school districts to serve free meals to all children under 18 until the end of the school year. All children 18 years old and younger can receive free meals when learning at school or when learning at home. The school district must still collect Application for Educational Benefits (Free/Reduced Priced Meal Application) from families. By completing this form you are helping the district receive additional funding that supports our students and teachers. You can complete a paper application and turn them into your school's main office or online through the Parent Portal. The short application will only take a minutes to complete and families need to complete only one form for the entire household. 
 


All meals served in school and at Meal Pick Up are FREE to all children, ages 1-18, regardless of income level. Please see the chart below for the Meal Pick Up schedule:

reminders:

  • Starting on February 16, 2021, any in-person Kindergarten through 4th grade student will be receiving free breakfast and lunch at school and are ineligible to pick up meals. Breakfast will be served in the classroom and lunch will be in the school café.
     
  • We ask that you try to pick up meals during your child's Learning Model assigned day, but you may pick up meals at one of the alternate times if you are unable to pick up on your assigned day.
     
  • There will be no 3-day meal bags available during Wednesday Meal Pick Up times. There will be limited numbers of 5-day meal bags available for distance learning families on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
     

Free Meal Information:

  • All meal bags will contain reheating instructions and information on how to store the food until you are ready to consume.
     
  • Children do not need to be present for parents or guardians to pick up meals. We will ask what grade your student is in.
     
  • Children do not need to be enrolled in Fridley Public Schools to receive these meals at this time.

Meal Pick Up:  Tuesday at 4:30-6:00pm

Meal Pick Up Location: Fridley High School, door 15

Meal Bag Contains: 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 3 snacks for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Fridley Online Academy (Distance Learners)


Meal Pick Up: Wednesday at 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Meal Pick Up Location: Fridley Middle School, front entrance

Meal Bag Contains: 5 breakfasts, 5 lunches and 5 snacks

There will be no 3-day meal bags on Wednesdays

Tiger 2: Paws 

(In School on Thursday/Friday)


Meal Pick Up: Thursday at 4:30- 6:00pm

Meal Pick Up Location: Fridley High School, door 15

Meal Bag Contains: 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 3 snacks for the following Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

 

Students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals may be eligible for Pandemic-Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) to purchase food for the days they are not in the school building. Click here to learn more.

PRE-PAYMENT OPTIONS

Please keep your student's meal account current by taking advantage of the options to prepay your student's meal accounts. Prepaid meal accounts help the lunch lines go faster and gives students more time to eat, relax, and play. It also gives you the peace of mind of not having to worry about looking for lunch money every day or worry that it might get lost, stolen or used for other things other than lunch.

ONLINE PAYMENTS (Infinite Campus)

Online payments are a simple, safe and secure way to make payments to your students account 24 hours a day at your convenience.

Beginning the 2020-21 school year, Fridley Public Schools uses Infinite Campus to provide parents with a safe and convenient way to prepay for student’s meals online. Parents can set up automatic payment plans, view balances and account history, and receive automated notification on balance status. There is no charge or extra fee to use Infinite Campus.

SEND CHECK OR CASH

You can always bring money personally or send it with your student. Please place it in an envelope marked clearly with your student's name, their ID #, their teacher's name, the $ amount and the check #. Turn in prepaid deposits to the cafeteria cashier(s) or school office.

Elementary Schools: $2.60
Middle School & High School: $2.85
Adult lunch: $4.00
Adult breakfast: $2.15
Milk: $0.55

Breakfast is provided at no cost for ALL students.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines.

All meals, foods and beverages are prepared and served by qualified child nutrition professionals. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.
