2020-21 School Year - Transportation Requests

Due to bus capacity restrictions for social distancing, all students who want to use school bus transportation are required to submit the form below. Parents are asked to complete this form to allow us to plan for safe transportation for all our students.

Click here to complete the Transportation Request Form

Please note: Fridley Public Schools Transportation is for students who reside in the Fridley Public Schools District Boundaries OR students who are enrolled through NWSISD (Northwest Suburban Integration School District)

In addition, if your child/children have had changes in daycare, or your child/children are in need of a stop at an alternate address (inside Fridley School District boundaries), please complete this Transportation Request Other Than Home Form. If you have more than one child riding the bus, please include all siblings in the "Comments" section of the form.

School Bus Safety Week - October 19-23, 2020

School Bus Safety is important every single day, but School Bus Safety Week serves as a reminder to encourage all drivers to always use safe driving behaviors, especially when you are around school buses! Children are safer in a school bus than any other vehicle - but it is essential for everyone to engage in safe driving when children are transitioning on and off the bus. Remember to follow the law when a school bus activates its flashing lights and has the stop arm fully extended. Additional reminders include:

  • Stop at least 20 feet from the bus, whether you’re behind it or approaching it from the opposite direction.
  • This is true for two-lane roads and two-lane roads with a turning lane in the middle.
  • On four-lane roads, always stop when you’re behind the bus. If you’re approaching from the opposite direction, stop unless there’s a median or concrete barrier in the middle.
By observing National School Bus Safety Week all year long, we can work together to make sure that children are just as safe off the school bus as they are when they’re on it. To read more, click here to view the MN Department of Public Safety blog.

Bus Stop Information

If your family has moved and needs to make a bus stop change request, please contact the Fridley Public Schools Transportation Department.

If you require a stop from a daycare or alternate address (inside Fridley School District boundaries) and wish to have a stop was assigned, you will need to fill out this form: Transportation Request Other Than Home. If you have more than one child riding the bus, please include all siblings in the "Comments" section of the form.

Late Bus, Lost & Found
Occasionally buses run late in the morning due to the weather. We do not want students standing outside in the cold waiting for too long. If your student is waiting for the bus longer than 10 minutes, please have them go back inside and call the bus company. If your child has lost something on the bus, please contact the bus company.
