Dear Fridley Public Schools Families,

Welcome to the 2025–26 school year! It is an absolute honor to begin my third year as Superintendent of Fridley Public Schools. As both superintendent and a proud mom of two high schoolers and one middle schooler, I see firsthand the care, excellence, and opportunity that define our school community. 
This school year, we remain anchored in our district’s strategic plan—Access, Opportunity and Belonging—and our vision of empowering every student’s individual potential.

We are proud to be the only district in Minnesota authorized to offer the full International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum, from preschool through grade 12. This globally recognized framework—combined with our districtwide AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) implementation—equips students with critical thinking, leadership, and lifelong learning skills.

This year, we are deepening our districtwide commitment to literacy, with a targeted focus at the elementary level. At our secondary schools, staff will continue to strengthen AVID instructional practices, ensuring our students have the skills and confidence to pursue college and career success. Across all schools, we continue to align our work with our strategic plan’s core values: equity, rigor, belonging, and student-centered learning.

Most importantly, we believe that education is a partnership. Families are essential to our success, and your voice is vital. Together, we will continue to build a safe, inclusive, and joyful school environment where every child has access,  opportunity and feels a deep sense of belonging.
