Strive
STRIVE is a scholarship program that is sponsored by the Columbia Heights-Fridley Rotary Club. It helps high school students discover their own strengths and talents to increase their personal and academic achievement.
STRIVE:
- Is an opportunity for reaching goals.
- Is for seniors wanting to improve their status and future life prospects.
- Recognizes and rewards students who demonstrate success by their achievement in the classroom.
- Honors students who accomplish the goals of this program.
STRIVE challenges students to improve their work, gain self-confidence and discover the satisfaction of achievement. This is a scholarship program that recognizes and rewards students in the lower range of class standing who show the greatest improvement in grades in their senior year. Scholarships are awarded at the end of senior year at the annual Lions Club Scholastic Achievement Banquet.
STRIVE INCLUDES:
- Twice-a-month meetings during lunch hour to discuss academics, school progress, post-secondary plans, etc.
- A mentor provided by the Columbia Heights-Fridley Rotary Club who provides college and career advice, guidance, and more
- Field trips to colleges and universities
