We hope you have been enjoying 20for20! For 20 days, we are honoring our Fridley seniors with postings on the Fridley District Facebook page and our new Class of 2020 Digital Blog. You can also check out the Staff Shout Out Digital Blog where seniors can view messages from Fridley teachers and staff members. Click below to watch video: ![]() ![]() In partnership with Kris Lindahl Real Estate and Blue Ox Media, the Fridley High School Class of 2020 will be honored with two billboards! Kris Lindahl, a Fridley High School alumnus, generously donated time on one of his billboards to honor the Class of 2020 from June 1-7. In addition, Blue Ox Ad Media, a Minnesota billboard advertising firm, generously donated time to honor Fridley seniors from June 1-4. Thank you Fridley School Board member Jake Karnopp and Avonna Starck, who supported and helped organize this recognition and salute to our Seniors!

Time: June 1-4 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fridley High School teachers Aanika Anderson, Christine Nalepka, and Ashley Reed paid a special visit to some of their students - surprising each of them with treat bags and a balloon!
"We wanted to do this because we were missing our students so much!" said Nalepka. Although these Fridley teachers often connect with their students on video chat, the teachers agree that it is not the same as physically seeing their students every day. ![]() "During distance learning, I quickly realized that my favorite part of being a teacher isn't the actual teaching, It is the relationships and the time you get to spend with the students," said Anderson. "My students have a way of making me feel very special, and we wanted to return the favor to them!."
"It was honestly the best memory of the year," Reed said. "It reassured me that they are doing okay and they are getting used to the new normal. Seeing our students made me feel so happy and it reignited my fire to finish out the year strong!"
Anderson, Nalepka and Reed all echoed the same sentiment to their students. "We all cannot wait to see you again in person," said Nalepka. "Finish the school year strong and stay positive!" ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you to the more than 300 parents/guardians who have completed and submitted the Distance Learning Survey!
