COVID-19: INFORmation and Resources

Information and resources for students, staff, families and community

COVID-19 Health and Safety Information for 2023-2024 School Year

Due to recent changes in guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), we have updated our practices for maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment in Fridley Public Schools for the 2023-2024 school year.

Important things to know:

  • Face coverings are not required in district buildings or on school buses. We respect and honor our families’ decisions on masks and will make all of our students feel cared for.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will continue to be available in our buildings.
  • If your student is sick, please keep them home from school. Keep up-to-date on common symptoms of COVID-19.
  • If your student tests positive for COVID-19, please notify your school’s health office.
  • CDC recommends that if you test positive for COVID-19, you stay home for at least five days. Wear a high-quality mask when you must be around others at home and in public.
  • If after five days you are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of medication, and your symptoms are improving (or you never had symptoms) you may return to school.
  • CDC recommends continuing to wear a high-quality mask through day 10.
