Back-to-School Information

Welcome back to school, Fridley students!

Thank you for choosing Fridley Public Schools, an International Baccalaureate World Schools District! We are excited to welcome all our students to the 2021-22 school year.

Fridley Public Schools will start the school year with in person learning at school for all students in Preschool through Grade 12. Students who are enrolled in the full-time Fridley Online Academy will receive their learning online.

General back-to-school information is listed below. Be sure to check your mailbox and email for back-to-school letters with details on your school's Orientation/Open House sign ups.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL RESOURCE FAIR

This year's Fridley Public Schools Back-to-School Resource Fair will be held on Saturday, August 21 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in a drive-through format. Backpacks with school supplies and community resources will be available for students. Please fill out the form below so we can plan for your child/ren: Click here to register now! (Please note: Only students enrolled in Fridley Public Schools can receive a backpack).


Orientation and Open House Dates:

Preschool

  • Orientation/Open House - Families will schedule an Orientation time on one of the following dates:
    September 7 (10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.) or September 8 (8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
  • On September 9, all students will begin their first day of school

Hayes and Stevenson Elementary School (K-4)

Fridley Middle School (5-8)

  • Orientation/Open House - Families will schedule an Orientation time on one of the following dates:
    September 7 (7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) or September 8 (9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.)
  • On September 9, all students will begin their first day of school

Fridley High School (9-12)

  • Open House - Families can attend Open House on one of the following dates: 
    September 1 (1:00 - 6:00 p.m.), September 7 (1:00 - 6:00 p.m), or September 8 (1:00 - 3:00 p.m.)
  • On September 7, all 9th grade, 10th grade, and new Fridley High School students will attend Day 1 Orientation Day from 8:10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • On September 8, all 9th grade, 10th grade, and new Fridley High School students will attend Day 2 Orientation Day from 8:10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • On September 9, all students will begin their first day of school

Campus Parent Portal

Is your information up-to-date in the Campus Parent Portal? All parents with enrolled students in Fridley Public Schools are required to setup a Campus Parent Portal account to access the following:

  • Food service account and make payments
  • Activity information and make payments
  • Demographic information updates

Please remember: Keeping your contact information current and updated is essential for school and district communication.

Campus Parent Portal is used in the following ways:

  • Automated phone calls and email messages for emergency or weather-related school closings (snow days, water main breaks, etc.)
  • Mailed report cards and important school and district communication.
  • Email communication from teachers, your school's newsletters, and district news.
  • If during the school day you need to be reached in regards to attendance, sick child, etc. 

Quick Tips for Updating Campus Portal - Take a few minutes to review and update the following in Campus Portal:

  • Primary phone number.
  • Emergency contact and phone number.
  • Email Address.
  • Parent and guardian changes and updates.
  • Adding/removing household members.

Apply for Educational Benefits

All families are encouraged to completed an application for Educational Benefits. Completed applications help provide funding to our schools that support student learning across the district.

Paper applications for Educational Benefits were mailed to all currently enrolled Fridley families in July. You can submit your application through mail by returning to Fridley High School, 6000 West Moore Lake Drive, Fridley, MN 55432.
