Fridley Public Schools is the first and only school district in the state of Minnesota to provide the full International Baccalaureate Programme Continuum (PYP, MYP, DP, and CP) to all PreKindergarten to Grade 12 students.

Thank you to all Fridley Public Schools' paraeducators! Governor Walz has proclaimed the week of January 23-29, 2023 as Paraprofessional Recognition Week in Minnesota.
The Minnesota School Board Directors of Color and Indigenous (MNSBDOCI) announced Fridley Public Schools Superintendent Kim Hiel as the winner of their annual Lighthouse Award at the annual Minnesota School Board Association (MSBA) Annual Leadership Conference on January 12, 2023.
Fridley students participated in a simulation of the Minnesota state government at the annual YMCA statewide Youth In Government (YIG) conference held January 5-8. More than a thousand students grades 8-12, including 45 Fridley High School students and 23 Fridley Middle School students, became legislators, lawyers, judges, lobbyists, media representatives, or cabinet members running a state model government in the Capitol Complex.
Students in Fridley High School’s Minnesota Honor Society made a positive difference in the community this past holiday season through a few different volunteer opportunities.
Congratulations to Traci Brauns, our January Employee of the Month, who works as a paraeducator at Stevenson Elementary.
Due to dangerous weather conditions arriving and continuing through the remainder of the week, we are taking the following steps to protect the safety of our students, families and staff.
The 13th annual Extended Essay Silver Platter Celebration took place for the 2023 IB Diploma Candidates in the Fridley High School media center on December 21. The extended essay is a formal piece of academic writing that students independently choose and research.
Fridley High School’s Salaam Club hosted a henna art event in the District Auditorium annex on Friday, December 16. Members of the club provided henna tattoos to participating students and staff, who were impressed by the artistry of the elaborate designs.
Extra cheer was brought to six families this season with the Hey Girl holiday gift and toy drive. The holiday gift and toy drive ran between November 21 and December 16.
